Putting text exactly where you need it

Sometimes what you need isn't a full form-filling workflow — it's just the ability to add a bit of text to an existing PDF. A note in the margin, a missing detail on an otherwise-finished document, a label pointing at part of a diagram, an answer written on a blank line that has no underlying form field.

The text tool here is built for exactly that: click anywhere on the page, and a text box appears, ready to type into immediately. You can adjust the font, size, weight, color and alignment, drag it into the exact position you want, and resize it afterward. An Auto Fit option will shrink long text to stay inside the box you've drawn, so it doesn't spill over.

Because it works on any PDF — with or without form fields — this is often the simplest way to make a small addition to a document without needing dedicated form-filling features.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the font and size of text I add?
Yes — each text box has its own font, size, weight, alignment and color settings, plus an Auto Fit option that shrinks text to fit the box automatically.
Can I move text after I've placed it?
Yes. Select it and drag it anywhere on the page, or use the corner handles to resize it, right up until you download the final PDF.
Does adding text change the rest of the PDF?
No — the original page content is left exactly as it was. Your text is added on top and the rest of the document is untouched.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Every part of this tool — reading your PDF, letting you fill and sign it, and generating the completed file — runs in your own browser. Your document is never uploaded anywhere, and you don't need to create an account.

Before you rely on this for something important

FormFiller is a document editing and filling tool. It does not provide legal, financial, tax or immigration advice, does not check whether a form has been filled out correctly, does not verify signatures, does not guarantee legal validity of a signed document, and does not submit forms to any government agency, employer or other organization on your behalf. Always review your completed form carefully, and check with a qualified professional if you're unsure whether a document meets a legal or contractual requirement.
